Topic: Old Mortgage Products Causing Borrowers’ Financial Trauma, Current choices for Borrowers, the New Mortgage Climate, Rule changes and Tax law changes

Presented by Mike Eastman, VP Sales Manager and Mortgage Banker, Sandy Spring Bank

How can Borrowers correct problems derived from their 5-1 ARM? This presentation will explore options for the critical financial trauma created by this past mortgage product. New choices will be explored, as well as the current mortgage market rules and tax changes.

Licensed to sell real estate in 1978, then, as a real estate broker in 1987, Mike elected to follow his true love for lending in 1991. Well versed in all aspects of mortgage financing, Mike’s vast knowledge has saved clients thousands over the years. His collective years of experience make him an incredible asset to any real estate or mortgage transaction.

One of the nations’ top loan originators, senior loan officer and vice president mortgage banker, Mike Eastman has over 39 years of experience in real estate and lending. You may have heard him giving advice on the radio, or seen him quoted in local newspapers. Periodically, he serves in the capacity as an expert witness for real estate and mortgage cases.

Most recently he served a two year term as the Chairman of the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors Real Estate, Finance and Settlement Forum.
